We were in the market for some pumpkins so off to THE Pumpkin Patch we went.
Just 17 miles northwest of Portland lies the largest island along the Columbia River – Sauvie Island – and on it lies said pumpkin patch, coining the name "Pumpkin Island" by some of the locals. I was hoping for a foggy, drizzly day to search for pumpkins (classic Natalie) but unfortunately the sun came out and there wasn't a cloud in the sky! Oh well, I got to wear a cute dress and it was still a grand ol' time celebrating fall with some of my favorite people!
Some of our favorite pumpkin patch activities included (but were not limited to):
- juggling with pumpkins
- posing with pumpkins
- and pumpkin weight lifting
My pumpkin of choice this year was the waxy kind (the kind that were probably imported from some kind of exotic pumpkin patch). I especially fancied the green ones. And of course I brought a few of the little white ones home to scatter around the apartment.
Well, I hope you enjoy pictures of pumpkins because I've got a few for you...
Happy Patching!
