A three hour drive to see more trees? Yes please!
The BestOfOregon Instagram account highlighted this tree farm a couple months ago as a must-see fall destination in Oregon. It only took that one post to get me hooked on the idea of wandering through those rows and rows of golden leaves – with camera in hand of course.
The whole of the 25,000-acre Boardman Tree Farm was sold over the last year as dairy and agriculture land. Sadly this means that the portion of trees that still remain will soon be completely cleared. So, naturally, I'm incredibly thankful to have gotten to see this beautiful site with my own two eyes for, possibly, the last of its fall seasons.
I can't begin to describe the wonder of standing amidst this sea of gold. Even as you drive down the interstate you can catch a glimpse of the glowing yellow in the distance, it doesn't seem quite real. More like an alluring mirage.
We fought our way through the corn fields to the most colorfully, bright patch and spent hours snapping and dancing and watching the leaves fall about us.
'Twas a heavenly site to say the least. Do enjoy, my dears.
Happy Falling!
