One more week guys and then we can bust out the twinkle lights and Bing Crosby. It's so close but just a week away so I'm gonna take the time to try to stick it out and keep my hands off the Christmas boxes in the garage.
This is a challenge (for me and for you) to stay in the fall spirit. Try to enjoy the remnants of this month, including those close to moldy pumpkins, fruit fly-filled pomanders, and already wilted sunflowers. And of course an annual call to be extra thankful.
I'm overwhelmingly thankful this year for the roof over my head. This summer David and I moved out of our first home (the square) in order to make room for God to surprise us with something new – and boy did He ever. One thing led to another and it just worked out for us to rent from his parents in Los Osos. Not only that, but they've allowed me artistic freedom to make the home our own. I haven't had this opportunity since I was in grade school – let's just say, everything was pink. You can understand why I am extra ecstatic. Not to mention, my bedroom and kitchen are on opposite ends of the house, separated by many, many walls (woot woot)!
After 4 months of being all over the place I am so happy to be home.
So thank you Lord for all you have done, are doing now, and will continue to do.
Confession: I'm currently listening to Instrumental Christmas music as I write this post. TERRIBLE, I know. I guess I didn't expect that 4 weeks of the same Thanksgiving playlist would get old so quickly :) Give yourself grace for being excited for what's to come, but stay in the here and now as long as you can.
Ps. Don't go to Michaels ;)
Happy Celebrating!
