Growing up my mom was really good about getting Christmas cards out each year. We'd take a family photo in November, fight over which one to print (Mom would always have the final say), she'd write a letter about the year's highlights, and they'd be out to post by mid-January at the latest. Oh how I despised the taste of envelope seals. But I really loved looking back on the years, how we'd grown, the funny stages we went through, the matching outfits Mom put us in as kids. I really cherish all the time and effort she put in to make those special cards a tradition for our family.
This year I felt a strong urge to carry that tradition into my new family. Last year it was just David and I and that wasn't very motivating, but now we have our little Gus and having a little one (even a canine) takes a family photo to a whole new level. So here it is, our Christmas card. I'm so thrilled to have begun this annual endeavor.
A big thanks to Mercedez of touchesofblush.com who suggested Minted as a resource for holiday prints.
Happy Stamping!
